When business reality changes

Purpose

Role Assistants are not only chat that waits for the next human message. When business reality changes on facts the organization has chosen to watch — owner, status, stage, amount, region — the platform can notice that change and wake governed work so the assistant stays aligned with the enterprise as it actually is.

That is how AI Fabrix supports autonomous, role-scoped assistance: the assistant reacts to trusted Reality under Operational Trust, not to a private script that invents what happened.

Why it matters

Enterprise work rarely pauses until someone opens a conversation. Deals change stage. Ownership moves. Tickets close. Contracts update. If assistants only respond when a person types, they become outdated between messages.

Watching selected business fields lets the organization say: these facts are decision-relevant. When they change after the platform has accepted them into trusted knowledge, Role Assistants can resume the right governed path — ask for a decision, refresh context, continue a plan, or stop safely — instead of acting on yesterday’s picture.

How it works (business view)

  1. Integrators mark which business fields matter enough to notice when they change.
  2. When those facts change and are committed as current enterprise knowledge, the platform can observe the difference.
  3. Observation may wake or continue governed Role Assistant work for the roles that own that resource — still subject to permissions, approvals, and certification.
  4. People still decide when trust requires an Ask or Approval. Autonomy does not bypass Operational Trust.

The assistant does not “listen to the vendor’s raw firehose.” It notices committed business facts the organization already trusts.

Webhooks tell the platform that a vendor event arrived so knowledge can refresh. Watching business fields tells Role Assistants that, after knowledge is trusted, a change to a chosen fact may matter for ongoing work. Both keep Reality fresh; they solve different moments in the journey. See Enterprise webhooks.

Example

A renewal Assistant is supporting a customer account. The CRM owner changes from one account manager to another, and that owner field is watched. After Enterprise Knowledge reflects the new owner, the platform can notice the change and wake the relevant work so the Assistant uses the new ownership context — for example to route an Ask to the right person or continue a renewal plan under the updated role boundary. If approval is still required for a write, the Assistant still presents Approval; noticing the change does not certify the outcome.

Business value

Organizations get Role Assistants that stay with Reality as the business moves, without staffing someone to re-open every conversation after each system update. Limits

Which fields are watched, how quickly observation wakes work, and which Role Assistants respond depend on how the Connected System and Role Assistants are configured and certified. Watching a field does not create open-ended automation rights. It only makes a trusted change eligible to be noticed under the same controls that govern every other assistant action.
